CheckingCode 4 cm wide

The code prints 40 mm wide, each square 1.6 mm, with a clear margin of four squares around it. The minimum for a framed code is 2 cm.

PDF at the exact artwork size, vector code, frame and text. Everything is built in your browser.

Want the code itself to stand out? Or make the code your artwork: your photo or logo becomes the code, verified before download.

1

Paste a link, or upload the QR code you already have. Uploads are read on your device and placed as they are.

2

Pick a frame, table tent, sticker sheet or poster, then set the call to action and colors.

3

Download the print-ready PDF or a 300 dpi PNG and print at actual size.

Questions

Why add "Scan me" to a QR code?+

A plain code does not say what it is for. A short call to action such as "Scan for the menu" tells people what they get, which makes them more likely to scan and more likely to trust the code.

Can I use a QR code I already made?+

Yes. Upload the image and it is read on your device to confirm it is a QR code, then placed in the frame exactly as it is, with a clear margin added if it needs one. The image is never uploaded.

How small can the code be on a sticker?+

The tool keeps every code at least 2 cm wide on stickers, the smallest size a phone reads reliably at arm's length. Sheets that would push the code below that are not offered. Table tents keep it at 3 cm or more and posters at 5 cm or more.

How do I print and fold the table tent?+

Print the PDF at actual size on card, cut along the corner marks and fold on the dashed line. The top face is printed upside down so both faces stand the right way up once folded.

Will colored frames still scan?+

The frame sits outside the code's quiet zone, so any frame color is fine. The code itself needs dark squares on a light background: the tool warns when the contrast is too low and reads the preview back to check it decodes.

Learn the terms

  • Quiet zoneThe quiet zone is the blank margin around a QR code. The standard asks for four modules of clear space on every side, two for Micro QR, so a scanner can tell where the code begins.
  • Artistic QR codeAn artistic QR code combines a scannable code with an image or design, so the picture and the code are one. It still has to meet the scanner’s needs for contrast, finder patterns and a quiet zone.
  • QR code menuA QR code menu is a restaurant or café menu that guests open by scanning a code at the table or door. It usually links to a PDF or a web page, and a printed menu should stay available for anyone who wants one.

The next step

Make the code the artwork.

These tools make and check classic codes. AriaQR turns your photo, logo or illustration into the code itself, verified on real decoders before you download, with a link you can edit and track.
