Questions
What happens when someone scans a vCard QR code?+
Their phone offers to add a new contact with your name, number, email, company and website already filled in.
Should I use vCard or MeCard?+
vCard. It is the standard every phone understands and it carries more fields. This generator uses vCard 3.0.
Why is my contact QR code so dense?+
Every field adds data, and more data means more modules. Keep the fields to what people need and the code stays easy to scan on a small card.
Can I update the details after printing?+
A static vCard cannot change. If you expect your number or title to change, use a dynamic AriaQR code that links to a contact page you can edit.

Learn the terms
- vCardA vCard is a standard text format for contact details. Put in a QR code, it lets a phone add a name, number, email and company to its contacts in one scan.
- MeCardA MeCard is a compact contact format created by NTT DOCOMO for QR codes. It packs a name, phone and email into one short line, so the code stays smaller than a vCard.
The next step
Make the code the artwork.
These tools make and check classic codes. AriaQR turns your photo, logo or illustration into the code itself, verified on real decoders before you download, with a link you can edit and track.
